As a supporter of Upward Bound Takes A Stand, I pledge to commit myself to supporting non-violent relationships. I will be a part of this prevention by pledging to not abuse my partner (male or female) in any way. I will dedicate myself to becoming a part of the solution to a community wide problem. I know dating violence exists in our community and I am taking a stand to prevent it.

Teens Preventing Dating Violence
This summer, we had the pleasure of working with eighteen high school students, participating in the Hope College TRiO Upward Bound Summer Session 2009. The students took part in a six-week Teens Preventing Dating Violence class to develop our webpage on preventing dating violence. They researched dating violence, created a pledge campaign, performed skits, and created Facebook and MySpace links to the website. The students wrote the content for the webpage section on dating violence and bystander skills. They used their talents to enhance the site with videos, music, statistics, and pictures. Thank you to all of the students who positively impacted our community and made this website possible. Class Snapshot
